Vatican City State

Vatican City State is the smallest country in the world ruled by the Pope, who is the head of the Catholic Church.

Today it is the only European country that maintains diplomatic relations with the Republic of China.

With the participation of the Vatican’s Embassy the World Congress of the Apostleship of the Sea, dedicated to fishing and fishermen, was held in October 2017 in Taiwan.

Vatican City State Foreign Ministry Spokesperson of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Anna Kao, notes that the Vatican pursues good goals and the Holy See has always supported Taiwan’s religious freedom and its Catholic community.
